Sagem has announced the Cosyphone, a new simple candybar cellphone made for the users over 50’s. Sagem Cosyphone feature include the NFC (near-field communications) technology, that allows you to access some of the phone’s features without scrolling through menus. You can create some sort of shortcut cards (both customized and pre-configured) that can be associated with contacts, or with services available via the Cosyphone. Sagem doesn’t tell how you can make these shortcut cards, but they’ll probably be available at the same time with the new phone.

Sagem plans to launch the handset via various mobile carriers. But there’s still no word on price of Cosyphone. Source: unwiredview.com

The Cosyphone of Sagem looks pretty simple, indeed. But I know one cell phone for the elderly that looks far simpler than this, it’s the Just5 phone. I consider Just5 phone as a simple phone yet packed with very substantial features. Its emergency S.O.S. button is very reliable. When my father was stuck in an odd situation before, he was immediately rescued after one press on that button of the phone. It’s truly fantastic to have one’s life saved through the help of a gadget such as this one.
My father got his Just5 phone for only $119.9. That’s a very reasonable cost since the phone comes with competitive features and is offered without a contract. I always believe that seniors will make a good buy if they choose the Just5 phone over any other droopy cell phone for seniors that are offered in the market.
