Garmin-Asus nuvifone A50 will be the first Android smartphone released by Garmin-Asus. The smartphone offers “more location technology” than any other Android device. The nuvifone A50 features a high-sensitivity GPS receiver and comes with many of the features you’ll find in high-end Gamrin navigations devices, like turn-by-turn navigation, voice prompted directions, and lane assist. The maps are preinstalled on the device, you can use navigation features even when out of cell phone coverage. The A50 further supports cityXplorer maps, and comes with a “custom Garmin car mount.”

The other Garmin-Asus A50 features include: 3.5 inch HVGA touchscreen display, on-screen QWERTY keyboard, 3MP camera, Google Maps with Street View, Microsoft Exchange syncing, 4GB of internal memory, MicroSD card support and multitouch WebKit browser. There is no word yet on the price of Garmin-Asus nuvifone A50, but the smartphone will be available in Europe market in the first half of 2010.
