New USB 3.0 port have been installed on the latest HP laptops specifications, HP Envy15. HP became the first computer company that provides USB 3.0 technology in its engines. Envy presents 15 USB 3.0 ports, ATI 5380 graphics, and Intel Core i7 quad-core processor. Besides Envy15 notebook, USB 3.0 port will also be offered on a laptop models aimed at businesses, the EliteBook. USB 3.0 promises speed more than 10x of USB 2.0. Rather, USB 3.0 offering speeds up to 5Gbps, while USB 2.0 brings 480Mbps.

With USB 3.0, copying the files especially the giant video files will be solved more quickly. For example, 1GB of data can be transferred within 3.3 seconds on USB 3.0, USB 2.0, while in need of at least 33 seconds.
